THE BOMB SQUAD

Workplace reality

The Explosives Ordnance Disposal Service (E.O.D.) is deployed about 2,500 times a year to disable life-threatening explosives across the country. We don't think about it, but on land and in the water there are still thousands of unexploded bombs from World War II. In The Bomb Squad, we follow men and women who risk their lives as they set out to destroy these bombs for us. What is involved in rendering explosives harmless? How did the explosive get there? This exciting television program gives us the answers.
