In this Dutch adaptation of the original format 'Over The Atlantic', Victor Reinier, Marco Kroon, Imanuelle Grives, Rintje Ritsma and Caroline van Eeden experience the adventure of a lifetime.
Led by former Volvo Ocean Race skipper and five-time world champion Hans Bouscholte, they sail the Northern Ocean route without any sailing experience worth mentioning. For three weeks, the group will defy the challenges posed by the sea: metre-high waves, storms, seasickness, lulls in the wind, cold and exhaustion. The inexperienced sailors must work as a team to defy the dangers of the sea and reach the high side of the ocean in one piece. A battle against the elements and above all: against themselves.
