Chateau Meiland is a Dutch reality soap. The programme follows the Meiland family as they convert a chateau in France into a bed & breakfast.
More than twelve years ago, the striking Martien Meiland already embarked on a foreign adventure -in his own way- with his wife Erica and their two daughters. The whole of The Netherlands could see on TV how they managed to transform a beautiful castle in the middle of France into a bed & breakfast. It was a success, but after two years the adventure ended when Erica could no longer stand the homesickness. But blood is thicker than water and the Meiland family is now trying again. They leave their home behind for a new French adventure in a way that only the 'Meilandjes' can do.
