Five well known dutch contestant on the sailing adventure of their lives in ‘All Hands On Deck’

In het nieuwe SBS6-programma Alle Hens Aan Dek beleven Victor Reinier, Marco Kroon, Imanuelle Grives, Rintje Ritsma en Caroline van Eeden het avontuur van hun leven.

18 December 2020

Led by former Volvo Ocean Race skipper and five-time world champion, Hans Bouscholte, they sail the Northern Ocean route with no significant sailing experience. For three weeks, the group braves the challenges posed by the sea: metre-high waves, storms, seasickness, wind chill, and exhaustion. The inexperienced sailors must work as a team to defy the dangers of the sea and reach the high side of the ocean in one piece. A battle against the elements and above all: against themselves. All hands on deck is from Monday, November 9, 2020 to see at SBS6.

For weeks the five famous Dutchmen are packed on The Kings Legend, a beautiful historic racing ship, the Rolls Royce of sailing yachts, but without the everyday comforts that the cast is used to, with no land in sight and, without cell phone coverage and without the familiar home front. The challenging route the group travels takes them from Las Palmas through the Atlantic Ocean, Bay of Biscay, Irish Sea and the English Channel to the Netherlands as their final destination. The goal of the trip is to round the mythical Fastnet Rock in the southwest of Ireland. This rock with its lighthouse is known among ocean sailors as the "holy grail" of ocean sailing.

The five outspoken characters who step onto the boat all do so with conviction, knowing that they will be driven way out of their comfort zone in search of purification, inspiration and adventure. They are all personalities who have the guts to take on tough challenges, both in sports and personally. The five famous Dutchmen with a special (life) story, all have their own motivation to battle with the elements and themselves. But one thing they certainly have in common: no sea is too high for these adventurers!

All Hens Aan Dek is based on a format of Rabbit film and is produced by Vincent TV Productions.

From Monday, November 9, 2020 to be seen weekly at SBS6.
